I have a 2009 YZF250 that has a Pro Circuit T4 slip on, Twin Air Power Flow kit. I live in Florida. I'm installing the JD Jetting Kit in the bike. I know I need to use the red needle but where should I put the clip? I'm going to be running the 185 main.

Also as far as the idle are you guys just doing it by ear? Hooking it up to a tach? Should I go all the way to it stalls and than out a turn (example)? How do you guys do it?

Thanks!

Bear with me since I've never jetted my own bikes before. I installed the clip on the 5th down like the JD Jetting instructions recommend. I can't really ride but around my rock driveway since it's pitch black out so can't say how it rides really. It seems like the idle is really fast.

How tight does the float bowl drain bolt need to be? I don't know if I'm reading the instructions wrong but it says seated and than back off 1-3/4 turns. There is no way, it leaks with only 1 turn. Are they talking about the fuel screw? I also installed the thick o-ring. I just need to figure out the tightness of the float bowl drain bolt and how the fuel screw should be set.

the float bowl drain needs to be tight.

its the fuel mixture screw that needs to be 1.75 turns.

That's what I thought but when I removed mine it was pretty much finger tight so it threw me off. So, turn the fuel mixture screw all the way in and than out 1-3/4 turns? Do you think the 5th groove will be fine for my mods and location?

Thanks a bunch!

Even with the fuel screw adjusted it seems like it idles much faster. It's really noticeable when I'm off the gas in gear, bike has way more speed now. Is this normal? Does the o-ring cause this?

Also, how tight does the float bowl bolt need to be?

I was actually able to ride the bike today around my track. It's definately got more power. However, the throttle is hanging open when I'm completely off the throttle. It's probably getting about 25% throttle at times when it hangs open which makes it almost impossible to ride. I think this is why the bike seems like it's got way more speed in gear when off the gas. What do you guys think is wrong? I guess it's from the fuel mixture screw not being adjusted right?
