Hi, I just bought my son a PW50.
It only starts with choke up and on "start"
as I push Choke in, it dies! As I give it gas with the throttle , it dies!
I havent tackeled cleaning the pipe or Carb yet. Never did this before but I will try!
Any suggestions......I wana get it running! Thanks:ride:

You already know what the problem is (more specifically the pilot jet). Do you really want to hear my suggestion?

Clean your pilot jet with a quality spray carb cleaner. HogWash is the best if you can get it. You might even need to soak the jet in a capful of cleaner, spray again, maybe repeat. Avoid the enviromentally-friendly cleaners, the only thing they clean is the money out of your wallet. A lot of guys want to try just spray something through the throttle, or pour something in the gas and hope for the best. Compressed air, no matter how powerful, won't do the trick. The first thing to clog in a carb is the pilot jet because it has the smallest hole. This is what makes it hard to clean. You might be tempted to stick something through it, you shouldn't. Anything metal will alter the size of the hole, and wood is apt to splinter and clog it worse. The best thing to do is soak it in a cleaner that is strong enough to remove paint.

Let us know how it worked, and welcome to the forum.
