I seem to have injured my left knee in the last few days and will try to get to the doc this week. In the meantime, maybe someone here has had this happen to them.

I can't think of anything specific I have done but if I cross my left leg at the ankle over my right leg at the knee, I feel pain on the outside of the left knee. Once resting pain is minimal but if I move the left knee up or down there is quite a bit of pain. The right knee does not mimic this. Also, I have never had a knee injury so I don't think I have aggravated something old.

It sounds like a lateral meniscal tear which is usually degenerative rather than related to a single episode of trauma.

Zoinks? I need to have it scoped??? Oh well if it needs to be done, it needs to be done.

Thanks Dr. Mark as always. I'll see my Doc for sure now.
