Hi
I have been checking out posts on klr 650 carb tuning and see people talking of removing a cap to get at the airscrew on the carb. Where exactly is the airscrew cover on the carb? I do not want to drill in the wrong place.
Thanx for the info.

The screw is housed directly below the outlet of the carb. It's just in front of the bowl. Mine had a silver cap. Use a small bit, maybe 1/8" and drill only far enough to penetrate the cover and no farther. Then insert a screw to catch the threads and pull the cap out.

You must be careful of the choke cable fitting, it's made of plastic and it might crack if you are not aware of the side forces on it. It's best to just unscrew the choke from the carb then loosen off the inlet and outlet clamps and disconnect the throttle cables. Then you can twist it over to the right to access the cap.
