That surely ain't right. Noticed it when I adjusted the sir screw after I put the pipe on it, but it didn't register at the time as it was just damp right around the screw and the bike was running fine.
Then I had the no idle, poor low end problem I posted a few days ago, so took the carb off today. It is leaking more now and got my attention.
Any ideas as to why this is happening??
I'm going to take the carb apart tomorrow, clean everything out again, and recheck the float height. Need to try to figure out what's up with this anomoly while I got everything apart.
Thanks for any ideas.. Tom

Is there an o-ring in the air screw assembly?

Nope, just the screw and a spring.
Took everything apart, including the air screw, and cleaned it with carb cleaner today. Float level was low (18-19mm), so I set it to the book reccomended 16mm. Only other thing I could see wrong was a clogged pilot jet causing my "re-occuring problem". Will put everything back on the bike tomorrow after work and see what happens.
