I know there is a sticky thread and jetting threads everywhere but can't seem to find exactly what i need. So I race District 38 desert racing here in sothern cali, I bought a JD jet kit and did what they said to do but my bottom end is soo stuttery/choppy, once i get to like 1/2 throttle it just hits hard and is crispy. It also uses WAYYYY too much gas(about 10-12 miles to the gallon). I have a PC pipe and silencer R-304, v-force reeds. I currently have what Pc recommends for this year and make but am frustrated trying to get the bottom end crispy.
ANY SUGGESTIONS VERY HELPFUL!!

Thanks guys!

How are your reeds?
I have the JD kit as well, worked great all summer. As soon as the weather went cool it was a jetting nightmare. I had to go up 4 sizes on the pilot and 6 on the main even though the JD kit was supposed to make jetting a 1 jet swap and go. I think the aftermarket goodies is what reaks havoc on the kit since I have the same setup as you.

Each bike has requirements of it's own. A kit may be what worked for the bike they tested, and get you close, but you have to test and adjust for what your bike wants. Follow the FAQ at the top of the forum and you will not be disappointed. I had to lower my pilot down from a 48 to a 38 to get it to run correct, and FMF recommended a 48 pilot for the pipe I had. It is worth investing some time and a little money to rejet.
