Someone posted that it was closed, but I have not heard any news of this. I have my bike all loaded up and am ready to go up tomorrow. Can anyone confirm or deny this please?

Cheers!
Ryan

I only understand that certain trails are closed. Some volunteer workers are going to do some trail fixin, but it's only temporary. I could be outta the loop though.

I am on the Walker advisory committee, but missed the meeting to coordinate a Reiter telecom tonight (thank you to the guys on the line, good thought/plans were shared).

The Walker meeting agenda for tonight didn’t have anything out of the ordinary so I wouldn’t worry.

That said, more volunteers for the work parties always helps protect the sport :ride:

What is the best place to get info on when work parties are scheduled for Walker?

Walker is definately NOT closed. Had a blast up there today! Perfect riding conditions and hardly anyone up there. I guess getting laid off does have some benefits.

I was actually looking for a more up to date map, does one exist?

Thanks!

I'm going to try to hit Walker on Sunday. What kind of work and closures do they have going on up there. Can you still put some good loops together?

It was my first time up there in quite a few years, but we got some pretty hard riding in. Not too many trail closures that we ran into. I'd print off the .PDF map file. We just kept riding and ending up riding for about 4 hours and only back-tracked a bit at the end until we found the parking lot. Lots of tight single track and a bunch of 4x4/quad trails that were actually quite fun. The rain this weekend may make it a bit slick.

Awesome, I actually love riding in the pissing rain. I don't like getting out of muddy gear in the rain, that kind of stinks.
