Anyone happen to know these fellas or exactly who is on that entry?

A client of ours I just rode with told me a couple names he thinks is on that entry. If it's true, I want to get an autograph from one of my heros (serious).

Talked to Craig last night after our night ride North of ABQ.

There might actually be some truth to that rumor!

...it might not happen until next year though?

...and they might be riding the 'new' Suzuki RMX 450!!! (or whatever the letter designation is on those things)

Who the hell are these fancy pants riders deserving of autographs? You guys are like two little chatty teenage girls whispering secrets to each other. Spill the beans!

His resume is as long as mine (on the injuries list).
Nice to see that the list of great riders for this 1000 is getting biger.

Don't feel left out ThumperMom, I got DangerDaves autograph on a check.

I thought I was going to be 1st in line for a Dowd autograph. Dammit.
But seriously, I don't care if he's racing Sportsman or whatever, it's just super cool and would for sure bring some fantastic exposure to Baja racing.

Me too GBarr. My 9 year old son simply couldn't understand why I was jumping up'n'down watching Southwick on TV. I made him stay and watch it with me, because it was history being made.

Don't get all giggly yet guys/girls...

It might not happen until next year (if at all). Or if this year, just a 'try it out' on a short section with Sportsman team, and then 'for real' next year? Who knows? Wouldn't that be cool!?

Just a bunch o'guys out talking while riding Snow Bikes is how this all started I guess, so who knows.

PS: I got to talk to him and his mechanic (Barry?) one time long ago while we were both on the starting line for a 125 West coast SX in Minnie. That and the time I got to talk to Doug Henry after the Dallas SX were two of the biggest highlights of my SX career. :worthy:

If you can call rolling around the tracks and getting lapped and jumped over by everyone else on the track a SX Career?!

If I wrote down/posted the biggest highlight of my attempts at SX, you wouldn't believe me! But ask me in person someday and I will tell you the story over a beer!

History! Making more! Hangtown 199? I forget. I was with MK and my younger brother. Cycle News is doing an interview with Coop & MK. We are all in a huddle holding our umbrellas in a downpour. I am having a hard time controlling myself around the stars as the interview is about abandoning the race because the track is almost completely under water. CN flips the recorder on with Coop first. Coop is all about not racing that day. He thinks bikes are going to DNF and the championship will lean in favor of the racer that finishes. Coop says we are moto racers, not enduro racers. Coop left himself WFO. MK railed him in the huddle/interview saying "Coops a puss. Lets race today. We are enduro racers." Take about busting up in the huddle. This was funny stuff.
Moving on, Henry/Dowd=1 moto wins that day. Doug had no one greating him after the finish and was quite the character when he leaned his bike against his astro van. I most likely was the first to shake his hand after his first National win.

My buds Tawm, Danno, and I ran into Dowdie in the New Orleans lobby before the Endurcross a couple of years ago. Had a nice hallway chat about him racing there and what he thought of it. Super nice guy - just talked with us like we were fellow racers/peeps.

Then when he almost won Southwick.....!!

You know, there's only a couple of times in life that you really go, "...man, if only, if only...." Well, that was one of them!

Cheers! E-Ticket
