I just broke the chain on my 03 kx 125, and I have no idea what size or pitch I need. I think it's still all stock to.
Stock chain size?

The stock on a 03 KX125 was 112 link 520.
I recommend replacing both sprockets when doing the chain.
If you are getting a rivet style master link, be sure you have the tools. Otherwise order clip-type master link and point the closed end of the clip in the direction of travel of the chain.
About 6 months ago, I finally paid the price for a good x-ring chain. I also went with a steel rear-sprocket for enhanced durability. I ride mostly hare scrambles, so weight is not a issue for me. I am a large person and frequently ride in mud and sand. After riding, I wash the bike with garden hose, then spray the chain with teflon-based lubricant. Since replacing that chain, I have only adjusted it 1 time. It is the least I have ever touched the chain adjustment. It used to need adjusting after every ride.
