I broke my gear lever yesterday.

Recommended replacement levers (in lieu of OEM) - for toughness and price?

Also, what is the part number for the washer underneath the drian bolt of the water pump? I cannot see this in the online manual anywhere.

I've tried several aftermarket gear levers and usually go back to the factory oem stock unit. Either the aftermarket ones don't clamp on correctly or they have a different feel to them.... Just have ever been satisfied with the aftermarket ones. Maybe somebody else has a good recommendation for an aftermarket gear shifter that is better?

i like the moose levers.

if you want try the msr bearing clutch lever. im not sure how or why but it really smooths out and eases the lever pull.

I'm getting an IMS one. My stocker broke and the p.o. had it welded back together.

I replaced mine with an IMS also. Seems fine, mounted properly, better built than the OEM.

It IS shorter, however, so if you've got MonsterFeet ™ you may not be happy.

How much shorter? I like where my shifter is stock, but I'm worried if it's too short I might not get my boot under it?

Do you guys use the metal toe of your boot to shift? I use the actual top of the boot itself right at the toe. Is this wrong?

i didnt notice any diff between it and stock, and like i said i have big feet. i just shift, whatever part of my boot hits it, hits it; toe, toe plate, heel, catch it on the edge of the boot, whatever

I need to clear this up.

I need a new gear lever (hand) - not a shifter (foot).

no - clean break half way along - due to impact fall.
