1) Is it still open?

2) What are the current conditions? Is it rideable after a week of rain like we just had? Aren't there 2 staging areas? Which would be better for soggy conditions?

3) What are the directions from Troutdale?

1 its open year round alot of snow during the winter and you ususaly cant get up there between dec-feb depending on snow last year i was snowed out till march or april and there was still snow on the ground in may but we had record snow fall.

2 its ridable all year but its slick and muddy just like anyware elce.

3 from troutedale you take 84 east you take the first hood river exit make a hard right off exit ramp on to country club road and fallow that all the way up to the "T" you take a right its still country club road you fallow that till you get to the odl closed down store it looks realy old on the right hand side at the stop sign. thats binns hill road you can fallow the signs to Kingsly resovoir its the first road on the left or you can go to binns hill staging area, you just go straight up binns hill rd untill it turns to gravel and runs right into binns hill staking area. kingsly resivoir is better for camping or getting around with a big trailer binns hill is small and kinda tight for trucks and a big trailer is probubly a no go unless your an expert driver aalmost all the trails are accessable from iether staging area i ususaly go to kingsly just becouse the kids like the lake but its a further drive good luck.

I ride there alot in the spring it gets realy dusty in the summer i also live in troutdale

Columbia Gorge Off-Road Association (CGORA) is very active in Hood River trail systems. Try http://cgora.com/default.html and search TT for 'Post Canyon', 'Binns Hill', or 'Kingsley'. Trail maps are typically available at the staging kiosks.
