KDX220 - Stock Carbi.

I turn the fuel petcock on and I see fuel pissing out of the bottom of the bowl via a connected tube.

I also see fuel pissing out of the right outlet.

How do I stop this fuel pissing?

Just plug them up. JK...do not plug them.

These are the likely culprits:

1. Your float needle valve has contamination that does not allow it to close all the way...clean carb including float valve and seat.

or

2. Your float height is out of adjustment. (The KDX has a tendancy to "pee" when on the side stand if the adjustment is right at or above the correct height.)...Clean carb and adjust float level.

or

3. Your needle valve is bad...Clean seat and replace needle valve.

or

4. Float is bad (has hole and fills with gas)...Clean carb and replace float.

OK - I readjusted the float height and no more pissing out.

However, it cannot idle - but will ride whilst throttle.

What is to be done so that I achieve idle?

What change to float height will affect idle?

PS - I also just inserted the FRP torque spacer ring inside the exhaust port and do not know whether this has caused idle to change?

the torque ring wont affect idle. have you adjusted the airscrew for your setup? float height shouldnt effect idle unless it is waaayyyy off.

Reset your airscrew. You may also have a clogged pilot jet. Sounds like your "carby" needs a good cleaning out.

Yes, Thanks.

I cleaned carbi out 3 times and replaced PJ with new.

I'll have a go at airscrew (which way and by how much)?
