I have a 2001 RM250 that has a recently installed Tusk Clutch Kit (about two months ago). I went to the sand dunes a few weeks ago and hadn't touched the bike since and recently found time to start doing maintenance. When rolling the bike over to the stand I pulled in the clutch because it was in gear, and proceeded to roll it up to the stand, but the bike didn't move and acted like the clutch wasn't engaged. But I had the lever pulled in the whole time and it felt the same as it did when it was last working. I tried playing with the clutch adjustments and changing the oil, and that did nothing...so what do you think it could be?

I had the same problem on my 125, it ended up being a shot clutch basket. I would check it for deep groves. But it could also be your cable.

could be the cable is stretched, or if you road the bike between putting in the new clutch and going to the dunes- you may have warped a plate causing it to grab all the time.

when you say maintenance, would that include changing you clutch lever recently? did that on a yamaha once-the new lever didnt have the same spacing so the clutch drug.

That's how all my mx bikes are. Start it and the clutch will act normal.

Yeah we looked at the basket yesterday and it looked fine, but it would be the cable, maybe some sand got down in it hindering performance...?

I can put it in neutral, start it, then pull in the clutch in shift through the gears alright, but the clutch seems to be letting out alot later than it did last time I rode it...

Did you soak the friction plates in oil before they were installed.(at least 2hrs)
