I just purchased a 1975 Suzuki TS400 that I want to use for the street.Unfortunately, after I got her all cleaned up and running I noticed the lights were either not working or were extremely bright. They then proceeded to all burn out.I am guessing that the charging system is overcharging and blowing out the bulbs.Maybe this is why there are 12 volt bulbs installed instead of 6 volts.(It is a 6 volt system right?) There is a resistor installed on the frame but I am not sure what it does.I this what controls the amount of voltage going to the accesories or is there something else that I need to check? Thanks for helping.
