I recently rebuilt my bike all properly and put the thing together and it was making crasy loud noises on idle. I knew something was wrong but i thought it was an airleak so i kept playing with my jetting and eventualy it blew up because detonation was my actual problem. now im back to putting it back together and my powervalve wont go up and down smoothly i can push it up and down for like 10 times then itll get stuck then ill need to push hard and free it up and then it will go again for 10 stokes. no tension on spring during my test. i cleaned it out and everything after the blowup. has anyone ever heard of this? do they get cloged up with oil buildup or are they just like that? :busted::banghead::moon::thumbsup::banana: smilies are for your viewing pleasure

Did you pull the pv out of the cylinder when you cleaned it? If not I would pull it out and inspect for debris in the pv bore. Yes oil can also buildup and cause a sticking pv.
