Preparation, preparation, preparation.

No open fires, period..

Leave fire lanes open or we will tow. I almost got to drag a Ford pickup last year. I got THIS CLOSE!!!

All riders should carry a cell phone, especially after dark. All night riders should carry a small flashlight or some kind of battery powered backup light resistant to crash damage.

LISTEN AT THE RIDER'S MEETING!!!!

Unlike most rider's meetings, there is much valuable info given out at the rider's meeting........along with my B.S.:busted:

99DB(tested and stamped by forest service), no studs allowed, one team member out on course at a time( can't ride out to a broken down teammate to take over), general OMRA rules apply with my say final.

A chance of showers is NOT a chance of rain.Ground is not muddy Tuesday, soaked in 2-3 inches deep. Wind is blowing 15-25 at the moment. Other than a few puddles, NO MUD!!!

Looking at the forecast, I am expecting EPIC CONDITIONS!!!!

Course will be firm, big loose berms, CHOPPY EVERYWHERE!!!:p

COURSE IS #@$*^%$ miles long with $#@%6 loops, @#$#@^ checks. ( I will go over that at rider's meeting)

There will be a bounty for apprehension and conviction of course cutters!!!:foul:

Best pit award, best riding costume award,Pumpkin carving award, and Halloween party around 3pm Saturday for the kids ( NO, not you Nate)

Be sure to bring some candy for trick or treating kids ( or me! I like goodies with nuts)

We will match donations for Centerville school reading program. If none, we will contribute solely as our way of saying thanks to a tolerant Centerville area community.

Lots of @#$%@ this year, more @$#%^ and more @&^$ . Speeds/lap times will be @$#%@.

Dress in layers, it's supposed to get down to 30-32 degrees Saturday night/Sunday morning.

See ya at the riders meeting.

Scott

We were just talking about this the other night. Can you get coverage over the entire course with a 2-way radio ? Has anyone tried it ?

It looks like it will be warmer than the last two years at night with a little cloud cover.

We've used the GMRS radios out on the course as a safety measure. There are some dead spots when in some of the lower spots. For them to work consistently you need to get to a high spot.

Although I would rather trash my little Motorola radio in a crash instead of my BlackBerry!
