Just talk to a buddy in Crescent area. He said it was snowing there also.

Anyone near China Hat / EFR have a current conditions report? Is there a snow base developed or do we just have to look at daily accumulation numbers?

I use the Pine Mountain Observatory website to get some basic weather info for that general area. I like the webcam because it gives me an idea of how much snow may be on the ground there.

Suhweet site! That observatory is quite a bit higher than China Hat (which is around 5000 feet) so if clear there, trails should be good. Thanks!

As of last weekend the north end was pretty dry and dusty but, the further south you go you start to get into the snow. There is probably 4 inches of snow at the most in higher elevations but i would say 50 percent of EFR is snow free.

I would really like to know the road conditions to get there from Portland, was gonna go this fri-sat but was worried the passes (santiam) or (hood) would be bad,, little nervous about driving them with my cab over camper and bike trailer. Pretty much decided to bag it tonight, maybe go tillamook or nestucca for the day. Anybody know were to find the road conditions in those areas, I wasn't having much luck.

Awesome link, thanks.
Looks like we all might be there this weekend. Need a place to break in my super light EFI 2010 TXC250 baby. Is a high of 28, 19 mph wind and 49% humidity better than wet and muddy? :ride:

Hey have a great time out at " Da Hat " and enjoy your new ride ! Great place and time to break in a new bike. The new txc does look trick.
