Has anyone here had problem with their RM 85 going through back breaks fast, realy fast, like as few as three rides? I have watched my son's riding style and I don't feel it is the way he rides. I think it that are hanging up on something. It has done this since brand new. He bought the bike of the show room floor last spring, 0 hrs. Luckly he has a few sponcers and the replacement breaks don't cost as much as retail, but it still adds up.
Any ideas?
Thank you
John

What type of pads are you using? I know some of those organic jobs can wipe out in a ride or so. Other than that, does the piston collapse easily? Does the calipe move freely on the pins? Are the pins straight and greased? You could also have a blockage in the line. The pressure fom your foot will push the fluid through, but the blockage can keep slight pressure on the pads causing them to wear out. Try putting the bike on a stand and see if they release properly. Try both cold and after the bike was rode a bit. Also, check the pivot for the pedal is greased and the return spring (if used) is installed.
