Hey i am looking for feedback ASAP. I am looking to buy a 2003 Rev 600 H.O with the beaver tail delete kit, 3" Risers, Mid height aftermarket windshield. The reverse does not work on it but he claims that if you clean the clutch on it it should work, 6900kms. I am fine with doing a top end after this season and know how much it is. How much is a new clutch just incase a the clutch is screwed. He will take $3,500 CAN  there is sled around where i live that don't have problems for $5,300CAN. Worth the price or gamble?? would like to know the price on a clutch

Thanks a lot and would appreciate some feedback thanks

That has rer which means when you push the button for reverse the motor will stop running for a moment and then restart backwards. If the sled goes forward but not in reverse it's not the clutch.

the ignition is cut and when the engine slows down enough and is coming up on the compression stroke, the ignition fires btdc to cause the engine to reverse rotation.  The primary clutch operates normally, but the secondary must have reverse ramps to accommodate this function.  You will not likely have to do rebuilding on either clutch for 8-10k miles.  The engine on the other hand could leave you stranded if it all original.  The rings have a coating that flakes and you lose hot compression.  If this happens you need to let the whole thing cool until you can start it.  Totally lame, but rings will bring it around.  How many miles?

Could be a switch problem.. Hard to say without diagnosing it..
That price is pretty high for a 7 yr old sled!! You can do alot better than that.. Shop around a bit..

i found an 03 rev 600h.o that is a different one with a new track and top end. bought it for 3,500CAN that is a pretty good deal for around here. the guy sold it so cheap because he needed the cash quick because everybody around here always goes down to the states buy a bunch of cheap sleds that are expensive around here

My brother had one. Great sled. Little tough on gas tho. Ski-Doo clutches are near bullet proof, so no worries there. Enjoy your sled.

I think it was plenty fast! Everyone else will argue that and tell you they beat one in a race one time. How fast is fast enough? Point is, its plenty.
