Hey, I'm trying to get the front wheel off my sons PW50 so I can paint his forks black.. they are PINK now!
Anyway, I removed everything per the instructions on the manual, but the axle bolt will not come out at all! I thought it just slid out when the nut/washer was removed, then that didn't work so I thought it would unscrew out, but that got me nowhere. I started hitting the one end with a BFH and it started to push the wheel bearing out on the right side (non brake side).

Anyone have this happen to them before? I'm about to bust out my cut off wheel and cut it out, but thought I would ask here first.

Thanks in advance !

It should slide right out. Just spray wd40 on it and let it sit. tap it lightly with a hammer. regrease befor you put it back on so next time it will slide out easy

Sounds like the axle bolt is seized inside the spacer tube that is between the bearings. Soak it if you can and it should help, but you will probably have to jar it loose with a BFH or an air hammer.

Yup, BFH and plan on buying a new wheel bearing, tempered with a heavy dose of penetrating lube, I recommend PB Blaster, followed by liberal amounts of beer.

HAHA.. thanks guys! I thought that damn thing should just slide right out! I'll start drinking the BEER now, then go out and try an even Bigger hammer and some PB Blaster!

normally, they do slide out, as long as the wheel is off the ground.
Had a DR-Z125 front axle bolt that required twisting while hammering from the opposite side, was bent in three different places at varying angles.
How? Beats me. But it rode straight, all was well until the tread wore out.
Of course, had a ride the following day, or maybe two days later, mad dash to find a replacement. 10@1.25 pitchX80mm isn't exactly something most places stock. Might have even been 120mm.
