On my 07 610sm the plastic incert on the lower chain guard is shot, so i took it off. Will i have problems with the chain coming loose if i leave it off?
I also think it looks better without it. but dont want the chain coming off.

Yes, the chain will come off and cause major damage.
Buy the plastic insert and put it BACK ON before riding it again.
Just trying to save you some money.
