This past summer I went through the project of making beefing up my RM250 into something I could have a little fun with, I did the following to the bike.

• Boyesen Pro Series Reeds
  
• 13/51 gear ratio
  
• a few other add-ons

Do you think I could put a 13/47 gear ratio on this bike in order to get a little more traction and speed? Currently this bike just spins the tires well into 3rd gear. I've looked into getting a flywheel, but I'd like to ride on outdoor motocross tracks too.

Why not go to 14/51? Changeing the frt is about equivalant to 3 on the rear

Are you sure the jetting is correct? I know it sounds dumb, but my bike was jetted wrong and would "kick" in and break the tire loose. Now that I rejetted it, it's nice and smooth. Unless I whack it real hard of course!!
