A little help please. I just bought a 2009 TE250 or what I thought was a 250. My insurance company called me and said that the V.I.N. # says it’s a TE310. It has all the stickers of a 250 including the emissions sticker. When I called the dealer he said the invoice says 250. I checked the V.I.N. # and the model designation KBEDF is a 310 according to the owner’s manual. Is there any markings on the cylinder that identify what size the engine is?
250 or 310 ???

Mine does not say Athena on the cylinder. It has this # 8000A5307. Does anyone else have a U.S. “STOCK” TE310 that has the Athena cylinder?

I bought a new 08 TE250 in 1/08 and that cylinder did not have the word "Athena" on the side of the cylinder - just a number on one side and "Husqvarna" on the other. This spring it did the big bore kit and the new 310 cylinder has "Athena" on it like the one in the picture above. I think it's a safe bet if yours has Athena on it, it's a 310, if not, it's a 250.

looks like husqvarna messed up and assembled a 250 into a frame with a vin for a 310.
have u checked the vin on the bike to the one on the ownership/etc?
if the one on the frame comes back as a 310... i would call Husqvarna.

yes, i would suggest doing this, would be a smart move to do it sooner then laster too or they might not want to have anything to do with it.......also, hit them up and see if they can make it into a 310, **** gettin it rectified as the 250 you will love the 310(who knows they might find it easier to just send the cylinder kit to the dealer and get them to install it then **** around with paper work.....doubt it tho haha)....i stepped up from an 08 yami wr250F to the 310 couple of months ago cause she got flogged(only 7months old:banghead:, it was my first bike) and i would never look back, i have ridden the 08te450 and i would much preffer the 310 over either one of those bikes.... i ****in love it!!!

X2.... I agree, there's a good chance Husqvarna would do just this, because it's going to be easier to make it a 310 than making it a 250 which would require a new frame and paperwork to accompany it.

This is the same number on my 2008 TE250! It is a TE250. Need to fix quickly!
