i have an 88 yamaha srv 540, for an old sled it really flys! suspension could be updated but the engine preforms like a champion! time for a new torque converter though

Since when do sleds have torque converters? Never heard of that.

You guys are lucky, you have snow. I can do some sledding but only after a 4 hour drive + 8 hour ferry + 4 hour drive. Or a plane ride or a 6 hour drive to some groomed trails. I don't have a snowmobile but a couple four wheelers so we always drive the four wheelers year round. My son and I just came back from a 5 hour drive in 2 inches of snow, nothing is frozen so there was a sheet of ice on the four wheelers

As far as I know snowmobiles have always had torque converters.
