Bought it, but redoing the suspension. She wants a adjustable, narrowed beam for the front so the tires tuck better; and adjustable spring plates in the rear. I am building a 1776 Dual port engine for it. She wants a turbo also. Her last Bug did 13.2 @ 106 in the quarter mile. Naturally aspirated 1835 with a single carb.

Many years ago I was freinds with a girl who had a Ghia. I don't know if it was the girl or the car, but I've like VW's ever since. The Cal Bug craze has kinda died out around here, but they still look good to me.

She was into bugs before we met. Mostly Bajas. When she sold her drag car the motor went into a baja. That thing was a wheely monster and she did the illeagal drags in Phoenix for about a year.
