WR450 top speed?

Ya know that WR's are geared lower than a YZ. 14/50 on the WR and 14/49 on the YZ.?

My 06WR450 with free mods only, can hit 160km/h (100mph) in a tunnel.

I cruise down the freeway at 75-80 on my wr400 with no problems! Gearing is 15/45. Top speed is probably right about 90mph....

A friend of mine clocked me at 95mph today on my sumod 450. Not sure what gearing tho? i'll check tomorrow and as far as i know no free mods yet

I had mine up to 92 mph on the gps on the weekend (gravel road). The speedo is within 1-2 mph. I have had it up to 95 on the highway and backed off because it was still pretty new. 60-65 is not bad, it is starting to rev a bit high at 70 for any long distance for me

but my 08 WR450 has done 164 kph

i think thats about 102 mph

well I finally hit the 90's. I was travelling down hill with the wind at my back and the speedo clicked up to 91. Like I said before my bike rips with the free mods but it doesnt seem like a great commute bike to me unless it is not very far and you speeds can stay below 60. I rode at a consistent 80mph for 5 or so minutes and it drained my petrol very quickly.

My 07 WR450 is street legal. On pavement I have had my WR to 98mph and it was still going. The computer that comes with the bike only goes to 89mph so I had a friend riding next to me to get this reading.

mine is set-up accurately with a trail-tech and i've seen 170km/h often and cruise comfortably @125km/h..saw 182km/h once-off at a main circuit track day running 14t 40t.. i've just changed to 15t 40t, for main circuit!

1mph = 1.609344km/h so my top speed thus far is 113mph but average 105mph easily...

The fastest I've had mine is about 160mph. No wait, that was my R1. Ahhh, I think my WR will go about 120, since it is a little slower than my R1.

Its an awesome thing. I got an 04 R1 and a 07wr450.

Had the r1 to 265 kmh and haven't ridden the WR yet, just got rid of my 98wr400f. It did approx 150kmh with road tyres on motard rims. Got bad head shake at that speed (felt death-a-nockin).?

I can vouch for that...My DRZ pinned at 160 k's an hour with stock gearing, and lotsa mods...the WR still outruns me! Full circuit track day, DRZ 440;FCR; Hotcams etctrailtech recall button = 167 k's an hour WR450, stockengine, gearing 14-40 = 182k's an hour:cry: Both our trailtechs calibrated Ed zachry the same, cos we run same tires, same wheels etc...He can still lift the front at 130+ k's an hour in 5th gear on the highway(standin on the seat)?

hit about 158kph on the speedo, Gps only said 141kph. 15-50 on a stock 06. Felt much faster though

90mph according to GPS on pavement.

Stock gearing, FMF pipe and uncorked on a 2006 WR450.

Wasnt on the limiter but I didnt have the n*ts to go anymore.
