Now the fun part... how do I correctly break in a 4T?

first if it hasnt been done by the dealer already ride it very lightly for 10mins then shut it off.

then ride it on the trails for an hour get on and off the throttle so that means dont go find a railroad track and top the bike out. once you do that change the oil/ oil filter clean airfilter and you are good to go. BE CAREFUL when putting the drain plugs back in cause on one of mine the thread broke off onto the bolt now i have an additional $80 to pay for a week old bike

Hey I am trying to buy a new 09 YZF 450...

I keep getting jerked around by the dealers here. They act like I dont know the 2010 is out... and it seems like they are like "what is the best price you have been quoted?" attitude. Almost like they are all in it together...

Really frustrating!

What is the best OTD price I should be paying around on a 09 YZF450 from a dealer right now?

Does it help if I buy it more towards Christmas time when they are dying to sell?

I got my white 09 for $5500 OTD here in Texas. Bardwell Yamaha in Mississippi had 3 blue 09s last week for $4888 OTD and an 08 for $4100 OTD.

Yes it was the only thing i dont like is my fuel screw fell out within the first hour and yamaha would warranty it they didnt tighten it or anything, but for the price i saved going through them ill manage, aftermarket external needed anyway

That is a shop problem, not Yamaha's. It sounds as if the guys who set them up backed the fuel screw out farther than it should have been while they were dialing in the idle (in other words, they did it wrong).

when you turn the throttle....

ride a couple of laps with the stocker and then throw the dr d on and do a couple of laps...best bang for the buck on the '08-'09.

I'd ride it stock first and see how you like it....might surprise you...
