What is the purpose of the neutral switch?

I have a 07 yz 450. What does the neutral switch do, and can it be removed? Thanks

Yes it can be removed. Moose makes a plug to remove it. When you do make sure you get all the parts out, especially look for the little spring and ball.

Have you searched? I don't think so.... Don't be a :bonk: and search :bonk:

I would not remove it. No reason to, and no benefit from it.
