Looking for real world Baja reviews on the big thumpers, I am digging the slanted cyliner and FI, not getting a bike anytime soon but I like different and since KTM has not came out with FI yet I might go that route in the future.

I love huge gas tanks on my Baja bikes. Is there such a solution yet for the new FI Husaberg?

Their is some sort of solution but is kinda weird looking. Pretty much front and rear tank from what I have seen.

Australia's aqualine mfg is making a rally set up.

how many miles do you want to go?

get out your wallet as they are not cheap.

soon to be available at Just gas tanks . com

Yeah I have seen Aqualine tanks near $1k!!! That rally setup looks interesting. Like running the front tank for normal rides and adding the rear for Baja:)
That looks like a 10+ or so gallon setup

Those poor Husaberg engineers probably cry when they see those big tanks draped over their perfectly balanced machine.

Yeah Man! And, can you imagine how much fun a bike full (or even half full) of gas would be in some of that sand around San Felipe or down any of those long sections of whoops? RB

Can't imagine anyone in baja needing (or wanting) that rear tank. Looks like the front is 4+ gals as it is.

I have such fond memories of that first year I raced Baja on that Husaberg team. Waiting, and waiting and waiting at Crucero for the blue bike that broke down at RM 150 and never made it to me. :banghead:

I think they've come a long way since then though! I bet they'd make it to RM 300 now!

LOL I thought it was bigger!!! I REALLY dig that bike specifically and the rally raid look. But the front tank per aqualine/justgastanks is only a 3 gallon tank! Looks alot bigger to me. The rear is around a 2 gallon also.

I believe Husabergs are light years away from what they were kinda like KTM.
I really want to ride that style bike with the centralized mass, kinda funny how all the mags even Dirt Bike is raving about how radical the new Yami is when the cylinder head in only layed back a few degress over stock but then look at the 'Berg and that is radical!!!! Hopefully I can test ride one one of these days to see if they are really what people are saying they are.

I've ridden the '10 450 (in Baja) and it is truly a remarkable machine. Well balanced, turns like a dream, great linear power. Feels a little small, but I'm 6'6" so I don't really count. The attention to detail on these things is top-notch.

Fuel range is really the only major issue, but Husaberg didn't design the bike to rule Baja. They designed it to rule enduros and now that they have Lafferty I expect we'll see a Berg on the podium a lot more.

Yes I say for baja just run that 3 gallon front tank and in your backpack you can run one of those collapsible 1-2 gallon fuel bags. 3 gallon plus 1 in the back gives 4 which is decent. The only thing that would hold me back from buying one is the 2 closest dealers to me are Z Racing in Orange and Malcom Smith in Riverside. I like that 3Bros is close to my house cuz I know them and well its like a mile away. I bet that 570 RIPS though!!!!!!

Here's the deal. This tank actually wraps around the stocker giving a total of 16L (4.23 gal)

The stock tank is 2.25 gals

Not sure how you get to the stock filler neck, but apparently there are two tanks up front. Because no way this much plastic was only hiding 3 gallons.

There are only two dealers is SoCal now. MSR in Riverside and Rocket on San Diego. Z Racing and Two Bros dropped the line because the upfront cost was unreasonable.

I think the Husaberg would pull off this type of race, but, with so many other bikes availible with good desert aftermarket goodies, why pick HSB. The new Bergs are off road, woods, single track weapons par excellance. Desert bikes not so much. Just sayin....
