Gas pouring out exhaust after carb service

I just bought a bike that has been sitting for years. The carb was plugged up very bad an no fuel was getting through. I thouroughly cleaned the carb and put it back together. I tried to start the bike and now it it pumping gas out of the exhaust. Not just a little either - a lot.

So I went from no fuel to pumping fuel out of the exhaust where the header and the muffler meet.

Any ideas as to what I should look for?

The throttle and needle looked like they were sliding well prior to putting it back together.

The float valve is passing fuel due to a sticking float, bad float needle or float level too high. Check the oil to make sure that gas has not made its' way into the crankcase.
