Hi, Ive just put in new clutch (friction) plates into my 650r. When I removed the old plates I noticed that the little slots go across the plates at a 90 degree angle. Whereas with the new plates (non oem) the little slots go across the plates at a 45 degree angle. Hope this makes sense!
Anyway my question is do these new plates with the 45 degree slot have to go in a certain way. Are they directional in relation to the direction that the engine rotates?

Cheers Mike.

If they are the slots I think you are talking about they are there to help clear the oil from between the pates ao that they can operate correctly and give "bite".
