I'm trying to get my BRP to start, as ever... I have never even ridden it but I smell a start in the next few days.

Before I order a new coil and CDI, i'd like to test out the ones on the bike (Ideally, i'd borrow some known-good units from someone, but I don't have any XR-riding buddies nearby).

Here is what I know:

1. The plug-cap is showing 5100 Ohms.

2. The CDI has "XR650 HI-REV" written on it in marker, but has no other stickers or anything
3. I haven't tested the coil.

Are there any ohm tests I can do to see if I am going to need a new coil or CDI?

Any advice much appreciated.
