May be to early to ask really, but I've torn down my motor and realized that my seized engine resulted from my piston seizing to the crankshaft via the pin. My questions are: Can this type of thing be extracted, preserving the crankshaft for reuse? I'm sure it depends, but if the crankshaft is damaged minimally are there any re-fabrication options? What are your experiences?

You'll need a new rod most likely. Either way the crank needs to be taken apart by a machine shop.

Your piston isn't seized to the crankshaft, it's seized to the connecting rod small end. If there's any damage to the small end bearing area (grooves, warping) you may need a new rod. Pressing the pin out is not out of the question, but it will take an arbor press most likely, or a homemade puller tool. Or you can try and drill the old piston out in lots of places and then break it apart, then remove the pin and old bearing.
Unless you're on a really tight budget, you should probably replace the whole rod, along with a fresh big end bearing. And heck, new crank bearings wouldn't hurt either. Long as you got the engine apart, why not...?

Falicon makes a rod. I believe there are a few vendors for it.
You will need to find a local machine shop that is capable of rebuilding and truing your crank. Or you can probably send your crank to Falicon and have them do it for $$$$.

True but I try not to recommend them.

Dennis Kirk usually stocks both full crankshaft kits and just connecting rods from both Hot Rods and Vesrah. Give them a look, prices are dang cheap and free shipping as well.
