i need a brake light switch, horn signals, signal switch, and plate mount. where did you get the brake light switch to cnvert your tail light to a brake light? also did the turn signals come with everything needed to mount them? what do they screw into to hold it on the bike? in ohio i dont need an inspection even to get it legal. just take the title to a title agency and the take the new title to the dmv and get plates. its up to me to make it legal so i dont get a ticket. i see you also are running on dirt knobbies. surprized that passed in california. also did your pipe add alot of power that you noticed. and do you change your timming chain often? ive heard you are suspossed to every 50hrs. my yz426f that was bought new in 2005 by the original owner blew because the timming chain skipped and the valves hit the piston.

Baja Designs kit non dot with YZ rear fender and UFO taillight/ plate holder.I don't think they make this kit anymore. The older WR's are pre wired for brake and taillight. Blinkers are held by a machine screw and they come with connectors after the wires are cut to length. They are expensive for what they done but they are high quality and bright. Tires are actually DOT so now I don't need to worry about a ticket, at least for that. There is no difference in power w/ the Q4, it's just quiet. For me the biggest power increase was from the Hotcams(in and out) and rejetting. The timing chain on your bike probably skipped because the tensioner failed and not the chain itself. I did install a new chain and tensoiner when I did a fresh topend.

It should. I did mine the other way around. FMF 03+ on a 426. Took a little work to make it fit, but not too bad.

That fit looks ment to be, excellent work! :busted:

What did you have to tweak / modify in order to fit the silencer?

Is the section just rear of the header pipe joint pretty close to the top of the casing above the kick start shaft?

Just the back. The fronts are part of the BD kit. Everything you need to install the signals is included. Two holes one for the wire one for the screw.

The mounting holes basically lined up, but as you mentioned the mid pipe was hitting the top of the motor. A little work with the rose bud and I got her to fit. On the old Q silencer I had, the mid pipe enlarged after the shock resi. and this one enlarges right after the slip joint. I rode this in Hell over the summer with no heat issues. Thanks for the compliment!

just got my 2001 wr426f. would the dent in the exhaust cause any problems?

also anybody know how to install bark busters? i have metal ones that screw into inserts you put in the end of the handle bars. the probolem is that the hole in the bars are too wide and deep to hold the inserts that the hand guard screws in. do i need to insert something to make the inserts fit in the end of the bars? i took these off my old yz426f that came with them when i bought it? mabye i forgot an insert that goes in the bars idk:bonk:

Your welcome, 'tis good handy work!

I see, i think i could press a slight flat onto the lower part of the exhaust that is closest to the casing above the kick start.

i think so do i need after market ones?

Yep, better had. The stock steel ones are made of cheese and will bend at the slightest hint of excitement!

Worse yet, the steel ones will just snap and then you will get speared buy it . Aluminum will bend a lot before braking.
