When i was looking for Carbon parts and the amount i wanted to add, i couldnt find one supplier that did all.. So i started my own company over a year ago.. Mainly for Triumph's.. but i can get most makes and most parts..
Mine is and was the first coloured carbon bike i have seen, so the blue is mixed with a silver weave.. She really comes to life in the sunlight..

Now i'm thinking about doing the same for the motocrosser...  Not so sure yet..
Thanks for comment...

My beast.... '04 CBR 600 F4i.... had it just over 7 years now (bought it new 10-17-04, first bike) and still love it. Nothing fancy with just a few small mods here and there, but we've been a few places together, lol. Been one hell of a good bike!

And Bdubb, what a deal on that 09. Beautiful bike. How do you like the 09 compared tot he 07?

Im in love! Its a torque monster compared to the 07. Eats up the rears thats for sure! Exhaust really woke it up too. I guess they supposedly changed the crank position slightly in 09 (but I have nothing to confirm this) and its a crazy difference off the bottom, has more of a growl now then the high pitched sound my 07 had. Whatever Yamaha did they made the right move.

FYI, I had an 03 R6 and moved to an 06 R6 after that and the 06 was one hell of a fun bike! Wish I wouldnt have sold that thing to my brother thinking it would be fun to ride with him and keep him outta trouble. He crashed it into a field less than an hour after he got his temps and totaled it. Alot of my money down the drain. Ill see if I can dig up a pic or two of that thing.

Ya i think the 09+ has that crossplane crank/firing order and thats why it sounds so different. It is definately a unique sound. i can't decide if I like it better than the shreak of the 07 though. I briefly thought about stepping up to an R1 and I really always loved the 07-08 styling but the 09+ seems like it would be pretty cool. I didn't know anyone that owned both models, which is why I asked you. And yes, the R6 is really fun. I really like everything about it. It certainly is a top-end powerband though. I actually think that is part of what makes it so fun it but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

My Ducati M750...I almost feel I can call it a one-off at this point given the, though not custom, impossible to find full exhaust + tail chop + bars and...stickers :banghead:
Not a particularly fast machine..but def quick. I've done a fair amount of 1000+ mile touring but she doesn't go to the track and I ride around town and in the hills mainly.

Ignore the dirt on the tires and the location, its ridden 90% street lol. Shes no speed demon, but shes a fun commute.

How does this thing fair for commutes? any good? I am looking to get the WR250R, I ride dirt mostly but hope to ride on the road slowly but surely you know?

I don't know if the 250r is a good choice? will it have enough power for me? like another question is 0-60? (0-100Km/h) and keeping up with traffic, do you have enough power to overtake? also what is top speed? thanks. It looks sexy in black!

I'm talking uncorked, mine came that way so I don't know how it is without a pipe and flapper mod.
Its very similar to an average car up to 60mph. I'm 270lbs, with a normaly driven car in front of me, I am short shifting and using very little throttle. At a light with no one in front of me, I usually leave everyone far behind just accelerating naturally. A car could keep up with me but most don't as they would take a huge MPG hit accelerating like I do. Meanwhile I get 55-60mpg.
Beyond 60mph poor aerodynamics take over. With no wind it will do a bit over 90mph and cruise comfortably at 80 (I stick to 70-75 to go easier on the engine). Every mph of wind in your face directly reduces your top speed. Driving in to a 20mph wind? its going to take WOT to get 70mph, and perhaps a downshift to 5th. 20mph wind at your back? your normal throttle position for 70 is going to want to make it creep up over 80. Hills and weight don't seem to make much difference. With my 270lb arse plus my wifes 120lb self on a calm day I cruised all the way home at 80mph, including some inclines. Going up the hills, the cars and trucks around me were more slowed by it than I was.

So it will be adequate? hows the low end power / torque? do you need to rev it? as I will be riding this off road I will basically be fanging (flooring) it with no speed limit and with a 0-60 of 8 seconds I think this might be the choice for me but I'm just still hesitating because I don't want it to not be enough. As said people say they get 25HP out of the box no mods thats almost double what I have now also they say with a new exhaust, new fi controller it opens it up to around 28HP+.

anyway I will be riding trails on this so no mx track for me but I just don't want to make the wrong decision, I can pick up a 2008 WR250R for $6,000 AUD and a 2009 WR450F for $6,350 AUD. $350 is nothing. I know the wr450f has around 40HP which is nearly double what the 250r has. Man I just don't want to regret what I will buy. I only weigh 200 pounds geared up.

It will put put around but It has no guts until about 6k rpms. Not that different from a 250f.
The WR450F will be lighter and have tons more power. The WR250R will be much more mild mannered. The 450 will probably be on its second piston by the time you are supposed to do the first valve check on the 250. It really depends on what you are wanting. A fast toy, or a reliable commuter. No matter which one you get, you will sometimes wish you had the other. When you're wrenching on the 450 youll be thinking "shoulda got the 250". When you go WOT and wish you had more oomph youll be thinking "Shoulda got the 450". You can get bikes with as much or more power than the 450 as well as being low maintenance like the 250, but they cost more and aren't going to be as agile as the 450 off road (KTM 690 and Husky 610).

As I said before not looking at this bike for commuting but for the simple fact that it has FI over the Carbed 250f. So your pretty much saying no matter what I get now and in the future I will want more?

I will be riding 90% dirt 10% street later on.

The only advantage it has off road over the F models is the motor internals are built to last rather than win races. It was built first and foremost to be a long lived fully capable street bike and secondarily its a darn good off road bike. In the US its the most off road capable dual sport other than the KTM 450 and exotics. In your country where you can buy plated 250f and 450f models, they sound just about perfect for 90% off road riding so long as you don't mind the maintenance. Forget the FI, its actually a pain off road  its on/off at low throttle openings and you can't tune all of that out of it. It also costs 200 dollars for the device you need to tune it if you do anything like add a pipe etc.. Give me a carb and jets any day.

My daily commuter... (also doubles as a toy on the weekend) a 2008 WR250R. She has a small rear cargo rack on her now and rear tail light kit instead of the stock whale tale you see on her in this older pic. I also removed the front turns signals and added the Zeta integrated handguard flashers.

She gets around 50 MPG depending on how much I flog the throttle and whether I run my 43 rear tooth sprocket or 47 tooth.

Full list of WR250R mods here -> www.solidfull.com/yamaha

Are you kidding me? -.- FI is a pain? really? You are the first person to say that FI is a problem. I hope you're trolling
