WR Stator Conversion - CDI Impact

Has anyone that has done the WR stator conversion noticed a difference (+ or -) regarding the WR CDI on the YZ? Removing the gray wire is supposed to engage the YZ mapping, but I wonder if it is really YZ mapping or just more agressive WR.

I'm seriously considering this mod, but I don't want to give up my YZ power.

what year?ive just completed the WR stator flywheel convesion but retained the YZ CDI on an 02:excuseme:

Sorry...it's for an 06 YZ. The 06 YZ CDI will definitely not work with a WR stator.
