G'day guys,
I've got a DRZ 400 07 model. (ex enduro bike)
I own quite a sizeable amount of land and when i found out how restrictive the muffler cap was i quickly removed it. (*note not the entire muffler, just the cap with the spark arrestor etc) as noise was not an issue for me and i actually like it :D. Will this hurt my bike. See before i got the bike it had been dusted and we ended up taking it in to get repaired. The guys reseated the valves and said it would be good for 1000 hours till it would need new valves. Now, barely fifty hours later i am having the same issues, i.e. the bike refuses to start by the electricial start, it will start fine when rolled but the starter cant seem to wind it fast enough even when its been ridden for hours straight, the bike also refuses to idle at all, and within moment of pulling in the clutch when riding the bike just dies. Recently it has gotten to the stage where i need a pull start from another bike or our ute to get it going initially, when warmed up it's easier to roll. But it's just a pain in the ass to be honest...
Any info on this would really be helpfull.
Cheers,
Mike.
