I know its been brought up before, but I couldn't seem to find it. If I send my motor to colorado and it comes back with 50+ hp what does he charge, 3k comes to mind but I don't really know, I'm thinking about making a built motor, my bike has 15k and I kinda want to think it needs to be rebuilt(I know it really doesn't). If anyone knows the price that would be awesome. I really just don't want to bother Eddie when I'm not talking about doing it soon.
Thanks
Erik

60 h.p. will cost you about $4000. You can probably knock off the headwork and use Hot Cams and new factory springs instead of the RHC stuff, end up with closer to 50 h.p. and save close to $1000.

just send me a pm with your current bike set up and and what you would like to do.

47-49hp vs 50+ is a big price difference.

Eddie, now that we're on this topic, what kind of engine maintenance is required for your 47 to 49 HP motors? How much more maintenance intensive than a stock motor? Also, what's the difference (if any) in engine reliabilty and longevity? -Thanks.

All engines are about the same. Eddie recommended the same maintenance to my engine as he does a stocker. It is not so much "need" it is about preventing failure. (my opinion) Any issues that pop up at that interval will likely be caught prior to destruction.

Oil and valve check every 1000 miles. Adjust downward based on use, racing, or other conditions that may influence it.

My old one never saw it (and was fine) the new one will!

i treat them same personally.

but if you are a 3k mile oil change guy to begin with that wont cut it.

the high 40's motor set up is just as reliable as stock.

i have never been on a drz that makes anything over stock HP output and havent because of the worrie of less then steller tank like solidness, but after you state that it might be worth the work:thumbsup:
