Hey folks,

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm Sean and live in Chico, California. Just picked up a nice '03 KLX 400 and I'm super-stoked to be able to go riding with my friends that have been doing the thumper thing for a couple of years. Back in the day I had an '83 Honda XL 600 and loved that, but for my new ride I opted for something smaller and lighter.

Anyway, I ordered the ThumperTalk mcct and the case replacement parts as an insurance policy. Anything else that you'd recommend? I see an thread about upgrading the battery and I'll have to check that out.

What about an LED brake light? Thought it might be good for my friends to get a head's up when I'm braking.

Look forward to learning from, and sharing with, all of you folks!

Sean

Good looking bike. Get some TT case covers, radiator covers (Unibikers are a favorite on this site) and read the FAQ above and do all the loctite fixes. You may also want some bark busters if you ride tight single track. Oh, and a battery tender.

Get some radiator guards to go with those case savers. The Unabikers work great.

Oh yeah, bike looks great.....I love the green!
