You are? Lets go! Maybe? I did it in 2000. They lined us up in a sand wash. Dead engine start w you facing your # plate, straddling front fender. The pros started just ahead of us. I think Rosseler and Smith were racing A class. I was like 7th going out of the wash, but it was not good from there. Lots of dust and the smell of rotting flesh in 2 spots brought on the gag factor. I crashed like 3 times on the 1st lap.

I kinda wanna do the Hammer Down trail ride. Only a handful of guys finish it every year. The video I saw of guys prerunning the course looked awesome. The old Enduro routes + more?

Cool website. I recognize a few of those names on the "In Memoriam". My father raced in quite a few of the Los Ancianos Tecate races way way way back in the day.

It may be overly-ambitious, but I'd like to see all of the race results available on the website someday. I'm staring at a big box of them right now... :banghead:

Glad you liked the site!

The 2007 race was an absolute blast. It rained, snowed, sleeted, hailed, and I think we even got a glimmer of sun. The conditions were perfect, imperfect, hellish, fun and everything else in-between.

I recall SnR having a hell of a time in '07 :smirk:

Some quick updates, news and information regarding the 2009 Tecate Hare Scrambles:

- Entry forms are now available to download and print on our website: http://www.losancian...om/registration

- We're pleased to announce that Sunoco has joined us as an official race sponsor. The race is now officially called the "Los Ancianos Tecate Hare Scrambles, presented by Sunoco Race Fuels."

- After careful consideration, we've decided to eliminate the "Industry/Media" class from the 2009 Tecate Hare Scrambles. Entries for this class have been low in recent years due to scheduling conflicts. We will have Pro, A, B, International Sportsmen and Women classes.

- We had our first weekend of course cutting. Well, more like course scouting. You can see some pictures here:
http://www.losancian...-hare-scrambles. It's going to be an awesome course!
