I would say right now I use my "L" about 75% on road and 25% dirt riding. I have a pretty tame enduro tire on the bike now but have a couple dirt throwing tires hanging up in the garage begging for playing time on the bike too. So, knowing it takes me 10 minutes to take off the rear wheel and throw it back on as opposed to adding another 30 minutes to an hour to change out tires(if I don't puncture the inner tube the first time), I have set out on a mission to find an extra rim so I can change to dirt riding quickly. I see one every now an again on ebay and have posted an add in the local craigslist but not having too much luck. Anybody have an extra rim or parting out a bike they would like to sell me?

If not, are there any other Honda models that would use the same rear rim as my 2000 XR650L so I could broaden my search? XR650R? XR400R? XR250R? CR's, CRF's, etc.....?:ride: I know I could take my wheel with me to some motorcycle salvage yard and compare, but I figured some fellow thumpertalker would know it right off the top of his/her head so thought I would throw it out there.:smirk:

I'm pretty sure a XR600 wheel will fit. Perhaps a XR400, but I'm not sure.

You are not alone in the desire for one of these wheels so get ready to pay some good $$$ for it. They can go for as much as $300 or so on ebay.
