can someone fill me in on something? i was flipping through my manual and came across where it says that if it's raining you can put the airbox flap on(the place right at the back of the seat) which makes sense seeing how that runs right down into the top of the box. but my question is, is this some aftermarket extra flap or am i just missing it?

its a little rubber/plastic flap that is about 5" wide and 8" long with two holes and splits in it to slip over the subframe rails under the seat to hold it in place. It is a mud and water flap to keep it from running on top of the filter...it came with the bike and many times is installed by the person putting the bike together out of the crate or handed to you with the service manual when you buy it...you can buy one from Yami, make one out of a peice of innertube or just forget about and dont ride in a downpour....

Go get an airbox lid from a WR. Drill a few holes in it for air.
