SO I have an 03 400E and i installed a full FMF today w/ a Dyno Jet kit. I pulled the rubber boot off the top the air box as well. I fired her up sounds good and idles good so I take her for a spin. I warm her up and she is running good while coasting to a stop I accidently hit the kill switch. I go to start her and all she does is click at the battery. I have never had an issue with her and all looks okay. What am I missing? :banghead:

did you remove all the safety switches? clutch? Sidestand? I know it sounds dumb, but I've done it... in neutral?

Other than the battery itself, that's all i got from the other coast

I didn't remove any switches, I am stumped and I know it is something stupid. If it was a switch I don't think it would click at all but it is clicking at the battery.
Thanks,
Ray

start from the battery and trace the wires as far as you can and make sure there are no lose connections. It sounds to me like you have accidentally loosened or damaged a connection or wire somewhere and the battery isnt charging.

If all you did was hity the kill switch and now you hear the relay clicking, it is one of two problems.
1) Starter motor is stuck/engine jammed. Witht he key off, out in 4th/5th gear jerk the bike backward al few feet. Try to start
2) Battery has insufficient reserve power. Had enough to start it once but not enough to do it again ager running for such a shert period. Rechages the battery see if that gts it running. Solution for the long term may be a new battery, combined with the free power mod if not already done.

Thanks guys.
Took the family out for pizza and just started taking plastic off now. One the bolts had backed off on the exhaust side. There is a junction / solenoid there so lost circuit to the battery.
good to go
