it can be made to fit easily. you will need to make a braket for the mid-point or come up with another solution.

i had an s/sm model rs-3 on my e for a while.

old pic & hard to see the mid-point bracket.

Is that it just above the rear master cylinder?
I am a machinist ,so it's not a problem to make a bracket, if that's all it is.
The port at the head diameter is the same? at 1-1/2 inches.(E)
I thought that's where the problem would be.
Thanks for the reply and pic of bike,Very nice.

No other problem except for the mid pipe mount.

the spot where it bolts to the footpeg on the SM is different from the E b/c the E has no passenger pegs. You can buy or make the equivalent of a "Footpeg Eliminator" which is a bracket that moves the mounting point into the right position for the E.

This is along the frame just above the rear master. Search footpeg eliminator and there are several posts.
Some just use some longer bolts and weasel it into place and call it a day.

the footpeg eliminator bracket that's sold will not work here.
that bracket was made just to eliminate footpegs on the S/SM models.

here's a pic of the bracket i'm currently using to mount an oem E model exhaust to an S model bike. it's very similar to the other bracket in my 1st pic.
this angle lets you see there is a spacer also. very simple bracket to make.
flat stock with a couple of holes drilled & a cut to size aluminum tube used as the spacer.

AHHH nice work RoundEye, you have fine skills.

This is the one I was thinking of. It will put your mounting hole too high.

i should mention that another key to the system fitting is the band type clamp at the canister.
it allows for adjustment.
