Just fitted a new Safari 17L to DRZ400S
Seems a bit wobbly around the radiators despite using the supplied foam strips.
Unlike some, I don't have wrap around rad guards , just the MSR guards that offer front protection.
Has anyone had to use additional foam strips to get a firm fit ?
Given the lack of mounts on the front lobes of the tank, it seems essential that the foam between tank and rads is packed tight otherwise the tank can rock from side to side

I have this tank on my bike and yes it does wobble a bit. I have gone down with the tank on and there is no issue. I have been thinking about using the 4 brass screws that wrap around the frame to mock up and build a brace. No concern with the wobble 4000miles and no issues. I also have no radiator guards.

I note the E model utilizes those threaded brass inserts on the Safari 17L so perhaps the wobbling is mainly an issue with the S/SM models.
Apparently the 28L comes with a brace that goes across the lower front lobes of the tank.
