Hi
I have found a used FCR-39 from a KTM 520 -01 for sale here in Sweden.
Will this carburator fit my DRZ-400SM-05?
Best Regards
Marcus

Yes , it is like the 'E model carb , it has a removable air bell mouth so you can just buy the sudco adapter and fit it properly to your bike!
Also you need 'E intake manifold , 'E throttle cables and of course the right jets and needle .

+1 on that , if it is from exc520 it is 39mm , if it is from a sx520 it is a 41mm .

Thanks for all your replies.
It is from a EXC.
Where can [I] find the Sudco Adapter and a E Intake manifold?
What would be the correct jetting with this carburator, 3x3 mod and a aftermarket open silencer?

You can get the adapter from keihin.de http://www.keihin.de.../FCR-AC-Ada.pdf
part no 021-216
The E-intake rubber can you get from your local suzuki stealer , part no 13111-29F00.
You will probably need a new needle , the emn ( sudco part no. EMN/017-262)
and 160 main jet. You should also get an extended mix screw and some extra jets 150-155-158

I got the carb today.
It is jetted like this right now:
Main jet 198
Starter jet? 85
Pilot jet 48
Pilot air jet 100
Main air jet 200

I have buyed a emn needle
I am running at sea level. Hotcams Stage1, Open Exhaust and head pipe, 3x3 mod
What jets do I need to jetting the carb correct?
This is from the FAQ:
160 main jet
200 main air jet
EMN needle
clip 3
45 pilot jet
remove pilot air jet
2 turns fuel screw

Is it correct? What should I do with the starterjet?

Not sure about the starter jet, but, go with the FAQ jetting as a baseline.

I would go with:
Main jet 160
Starter jet 85
Pilot jet 45
Pilot air jet 100
Main air jet 200

this carb you have is not MX so pilot air jet 100 stays in .

i have the 2007 ktm 525 fcr with non-removable bell (machined a bell)
identical engine mods. 05SM
and i did a dyno/afr run.

i ended up with
-155 main jet (158 would probably be better)
-main air jet: none
-EMP needle, clip 3 from top
-40 pilot jet
-fuel screw 1 1/4 turns out
-pilot/slow air jet 100
-APS spring (o-ring mod worked fine too)

So that's leaner towards WOT then the 'defaults'.
i have a 85 starter and thats works fine.
i believe someone here on TT said the starter jet size does not matter much.

Very intresting.
Why dont you use any main air jet?
I have an older fcr where the AP cant be modified with a o-ring.
Do you use the standars fuel screw or a extended verson?
