I'm sure there's a thread on this somewhere, but I'm not finding it so...Just recently, I've noticed what appears to be oil leaking. I can't tell exactly where it is coming from. There seems to be a very small amount dripping down the side stand and on the ground under the bike, especially after a long ride when parked. Still plenty of oil in the bike. Best I can tell, it's coming from behind the plastic cover immediately above the side-stand mount. I'm not sure if it's oil coming from the clutch assembly/shift lever or run-off dirt and oil from the chain. I'll work on getting some pics, but in the mean time, any suggestions and is this just a normal finding?
Possible oil leak?

New to dirt bikes? Oiled your chain in the last few weeks? It's common for chain lube to collect in the counter shaft sprocket cover, then as the motor heats up and the lube collects it drips down in the are you describe....
It's also possibly the counter shaft seal..
Bottom line, you need to CLEAN and degrease the are.. Check the counter shaft nut. (see FAQ for Locktite fix)
If you find the CS nut tight, and still have a oil leak after cleaning the area well.. Clean again, spray on some dry foot powder, ride the bike a short distance and you will be able to spot the leak.
