Oddometer: 44 front end help

I may have already posted this but I will try again.
I took a good spill in the woods and the bike felt bent so I put on new bars. That didn't solve the problem.
I brought bike to a local shop, no help .
When stop I can not see that bike is out of line. However when I'm riding it feels like the bike is pulling to the right.
Then I was told that the forks could be twisted . I loosened both clamps and moved them but have not been able to get them right.
Out of the factory are they set in a position marked in any way or is it just trial and error?I've been dealing with this for months any suggestion are appriciated.
