So the YZ is all new but Yamaha has not yet released anything on the WR...

This new YZ is all out different, much like the new Husaberg:thumbsup:

Well the early spy photos from Europe showed a WR

But you would think they would have released it today as well if it was all new :busted:

The new YZ definately looks pretty bad ass!!!!!

I'm diggin it too. I'd be very surprised if the WR has any major changes, but it sure would be a nice surprise if I was wrong.

In the Yamaha promotional videos on their website, Stewart says he loves it, but that is what he is paid to say. Only time will tell for sure.

I don't want to start or pass on any info, but my dealer said the 2010 wr450f will be just like the 2010 wr250f: bng.

Sad. I hope he's wrong.

Besides the color, I actually think its the best lookin bike for 2010.. But I went back to the dark smokey side, so to me it looks heavy!

That sucks... are those bikes sold as road legal in CA?

I see the side markers and what might be a license plate bracket?

In California....NO :busted:

No, not sold as road legal here, that "bracket" is simply a rear reflector.......

They can be made road legal, but a lot of hoop jumping involved.....we have no bike inspections here in new brunswick....and you would be in for a battle getting it titled i think based just on the dealer reg.

Opp's...Big coop beat me to it....same answer for Canada (at least my Provence) as well......

I don't expect a 2010 WR. There are still an assload of '08s and '09s to sell.

Maybe next year the WR will get converted. For now, I'll just sit back and watch the YZ to see how it performs.

Yup.

Besides, it looks like it's going to be awfully difficult to engineer a decent-sized offroad tank and quick-access air filter compartment.

The filter I can live with. I don't know what yamaha was thinking when they decided to configure the tank like that.

Yamaha doesn't care about the off road market.
