For years our group has staged out of San Felipe for week-long rides. We are thinking of moving base of operation (bike storage) down to Loreto. We would fly in direct to there and ride.
But collectively we know little of the riding down south. I have personally never been further south than San Ignacio (via no whimps).
We love the more technical trails we have come to learn up north, like the Bill Nichols specials. For some reason I envision the southern portion to be wide-open dirt roads exclusively. Are there more technical pieces? Any single track to be discovered?

friend of mine has been working on a hacienda just south of todos santos (playa san pedrito) for a few years now. he's almost done; maybe a year away---- you know, baja time, right?

he's very familiar with all the trails in the area, and as soon as he's done building his place up, he wants to use the property as a staging area/ campground for riders interested in exploring the area. i've only gone riding there twice, but it's pretty good stuff.

i'll get him to chime in here, i hope.
